Types of Lenses
The right eyeglass lens for you largely depends on function. As a leading vision care practice, we offer a wide variety of lenses, including:
- Single vision to correct one viewing distance (either near, intermediate or distance)
- Bifocal, which is split into two sections (distance vision and near vision) and commonly used to treat presbyopia
- Trifocal, which provides three focal points to help you see at different distances
- Progressive, similar to bifocal lens but provides vision at all distances with a continuous gradient strength lens for more natural vision
Specialized protective coatings are also available to help protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful UV rays. Night Vision coating helps to reduce the blinding glare of oncoming headlights. Polarized lenses help protect your eyes from the sun’s UV rays and are ideal for sports (especially for fishermen) and outdoor exercise.
